Is it fair to say that if we win against Brisbane and going for 5 wins on the trot, that games against Richmond and Collingwood at the MCG on Saturday afternoons will turn into old rival Blockbusters??

I mean if we beat brisbane next week this would surely mean we are back in the finals hunt, competing with Richmond and Collingwood. I can see some big time games to come.

What are our chances against the Lions???????:thumbsu:

I don't think finals is on our minds just playing some good footy is our aim just let it take its course.
The Richmond and Collingwood games will b big either way and will pull 70 000 plus in both games.
As for the Brisbane game i would b surprised if we didn't start faves in this one and think we r very good show without being too over confident.

Dont hold your breathe mate these never work out, Essendon and Richmond will both end up getting done next week and the game will end up the battle of nothing to play for, be lucky to get more than 50k

the collingwood game though could be a repeat of...... round 13 v carlton, anyone??? ;)

Would be nice if it did all work out though, we havent played in a game that means something for both teams against 1 of the "big 4" since Round 22, 2003.

We would have to win 6/7 to be in the hunt ... that's assuming we get over the
Bears. A bit of 3/3 delirium sweeping the board maybe?

NOrmally i wouldnt think we were much of a chance, however we have the wood over the lions at the momment. they have been better then us over recent years yet still we have shown them up
127- 63 round 8 2007
160-123 round 17 2006

I think that at the Dome, we are a very good chance.

agree and i think we match up with brisbane very well...

i think black is the perfect opponent for welsh
have mcveigh running with power..
i think mal to come back on brown and fletcher on bradshaw...

that imo is just about as perfect as you could ask for.. someone like ryder needs to play off his opponent and help out mal a bit but i thinmk those match ups would be just about perfect

QFT.

That is a big match up. Black has been good this year (as had Sam Mitchell) so Welsh will have a big job to do. I think this will be one to watch!

We've had an exceptionally good record against Brisbane in the last couple of years (when let's be honest, we have been struggling) - I think our guys will draw a lot of confidence out of this. We usually save our best footy for the Dome as well.
