When is your President gunna stop wingeing

Now he's on to this **** about blockbusters.

Well I say to all supporters of St Kilda who want to have block busters....SHOW UP.

Against Carlton (one of the bigger drawing clubs) you anly had 30,000 at the game, and from what i'm told the majority would have been Carlton supporters there to see Bradley's 357th game.
that game could have been a BLOCKBUSTER, it was the only game on in Melbourne.

Blockbusters are only block busters if supporters show up.

Buttress should just shut up and start making a few better decisions about money the club finances.

Fancy getting blight for 1Million the sacking him
Fancy paying $600K each for Hamil and Gehrig
Fancy paying $450 for Black

Fancy a ******** trying to stir up trouble on a St.Kilda board.
I'm in shock.

Fraser Gehrig & Heath Black were unbelievable, and I'm sure if Spider Everitt were playing he'd have kicked 10 goals.

Speaking of blockbusters - how are you guys doing in putting a team together for the freo game? I hope that bloody Heath Black is not giving you the inside running on all our players:mad: Good to see him get a honourable mention on the weekend, he'll be a very handy player for you guys:(

Your team showed good form in round 1 but Freo have greatly improved their squad from last year so it should be a reasonable game. Be warned though, we have ditched the popgun attack and got some decent forwards this year.:D

Do you guys think Fraser will ever be fulfilling his potential while playing down back?
I saw the bloke win games off his own boot at centre half forward while at the Eagles.

Seems a waste.

Fraser has been sensational since coming across. Last year he took a few weeks to settle into the side but after that was never beaten in the position.

Obviously he has enormous talent that does seem wasted down back but the key for him is to not only beat his immediate opponent but then drift up the ground and provide us with another attacking option. He did that on Saturday and not only beat McKernan and every other forward he played against us but also set up many forward thrusts and in fact was close to the leading the possession winner on the ground. You can't do much more than that.

Having said that the tradeoff between brilliant but often inconsistent forward and unspectacular but solid as as rock defender is always going to be a tough decision for the St Kilda match committee. On the other hand the flexibility he offers is a God send.

Well said. It was something that I often pondered while he was at the Eagles.

He always showed fantastic ability down back, but with Jako and Milli being mainstays in the two key defensive posts, the forward line was where we needed him most.

He's still pretty young, so maybe he'll still be given the opportunity to play forward later on in his career.
Like I say, he is a match winner when he plays there.

I don't think the G is a gun, not even close. In his entire eagles career he had one half of a good season in their forward line.

I recommend you saints people keep a photo of him handy so you can remember what he looks like when he goes missing this weekend. Playing him in defence will only make it more noticeable.

It's okay- stupidity is not a criminal offence. However it is quite amusing.
