Shaping up to be Wilander versus Exceedingly Good.

Tomorrow at Caulfield Race 3 will be the precursor.

My bet will be EG to beat Wilander with Wilander to triumph next week at Sydney (omen bet only).

Any thoughts anyone?

Got it wrong with a reverse on my prediction but if you could've boxed a quinella (can you do that anyone?) you would've ended up in front.

Looks like my omen bet will be for the revers of this next week!

I wouldn't write off the Believe 'N' Succeed, especially if he can get dictate from the front. Barriers will have a huge say.

Wilander was solid, still reckon Exceedingly Good has plenty of natural improvement and will be alot more forward for the Diamond.

I'll wait for the barrier draw first before i go out on a limb.

The quinella paid $2.90... you're a genius!

Minnesota Shark could be the knockout horse in the Diamond... was a good run on saturday, will be improved by the run and should be strong at the end of 1200m. Not many leaders win Blue Diamonds and i reckon they'll be going pretty quick up front.

Leaders + rail was dynamite on Saturday. Perhaps flattered the wins of the tennis player and Kav's bitch. Blue Diamond, always pressure up front, would take a brave man to declare either of the Prelude winners as over the line. Interesting that the fillies ran a slightly quicker time...

Exceedingly Good was a top run, will derive huge benefit from the run, I still think Lee has the Slipper as the main aim, if he picks up the Diamond along the way it's a bonus.
Minnesota Shark was a good run as well in the colts, he'll be strong over the 1200m, could be one at a bit of value.
Hard not to be impressed with Sugar Babe's run. Supposedly heading to the MM's, yet she still was stiff to miss out on getting closer to the winner. No doubt she can win.

Having said all that however, I like the looks of Wilander. Doubt the extra distance will bother him too much and he's always finding the line. Hard to knock winning form.

2yo's... Powerball is Thursday, right? Cool..

Hard not to be impressed with the winners Wilander and Believe N Succeed, but the horses that made ground against the trend were Sugar Babe and Von Costa de Hero and if they run will be carrying my cash. These types generally win BD's.

Is Exceedingly Good out of the race?

Perhaps Burgeis, liked her run, think she races better when allowed to settle near the rear of the field.

The speedsters should set up a nice enough tempo for the final 100 of the 1200 for something to storm home.

Marveen for me. Faultless in all its runs so far.
Marveen was the one for me, but I'd like to see that it's over its cold and right to go. Otherwise I liked to run of Von Costa De Hero, and you just can't knock the 4 Exceed and Excel who ran the quinella's, but I might not be backing them.

Hopefully De Lightning Ridge gets a start - Canberra based trained by Keith Dryden. Was super impressive on debut.

So its being set for the Golden Slipper?

For some reason they had it in blue diamond market in yesterdays Sun.

I'll go for Minnesota Shark to beat Marveen, both sure to be finishing all over the leaders.

Possibly the hardest race on the calendar to find some coin...

Few interesting runners:
Hips Dont Lie
Chilean Miss
Burgeis

My Moneys on Chilean Miss - Very Impressive at Debut.
Only concern is its had the one run - and its scratching last start. But looks the goods, with tasty odds.

Burgeis will run a place.

But with all these ponies - its a lucky dip.

Burgeis or Wilander for me.

Burgeis stormed home to come 3rd a couple weeks ago and Wilander just oozes class.

Open race, I love it.
