Since weve signed Phillips on a 2 year contract recently if Levi goes and we dont bring someone else in id suggest we may go back to the Phillips/Kruezer pairing . If that happens people may wish Levi back . Or as you say who will be the sacrificial lamb if Phillips doesnt play against the likes of Mumford i suggest Mckay .

Joe Daniher pinch hits in the ruck. Darcy Moore pinch hits in the ruck. Bontempelli pinch hits in the ruck.

So can numerous of our talls.

They are not made of paper, and rucking nowadays is not like rucking against the old manglers.

Levi is making good of his own wishes. Our wishing won't amount to much at all.

If Levi goes, as he should, so be it. Good luck to him and onwards and upwards for us.

Was a figure of speech more regarding the flow on effect not having Levi as a second ruck could also effect Kruezers game . With Phillips in the side if it gets to that goodbye to AA Kruezer next year . Casboult offers a lot more to the side than what he does or doesnt do up forward he enables Kruezer to be the player he has been this year . I think people completely disregard that side to Casboult .
But each to their own as you say .

There's what's said publicly, and there's what happens . SOS is no fool and if he wants to move Levi along , he is not going to wait until the recess bell rings

I like/liked Casboult as the second ruck and yes, we may yet miss that versatility, but that aside, I think we've all become that little more accepting/conditioned to players leaving.
We can't expect them all to want to come to us for opportunity/money/careers etc and not expect it to go out the other way.

Having said that, nothing has come about yet re. Levi, but whatever does, is just fine by me.
 
Isn't Kreuzer a free agent at the end of the season? Why hasn't there been any talk about him leaving and any ideas as to why he hasn't re-signed? I'd cry if he left.

Don't be amazed if Jones or Rowe fills the bill. With the rise of Jones, Sam has been written off
around here. Can play forward and pinch hit ruck, arguably as well as Levi. Don't discount the
possibility of both Liam and Sam in defence against teams with multiple big boppers, so alternate
rotations feasible. (clearly horses for courses with some match ups) Weitering or even Marchbank
or Macreadie can cover forward.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Levi go at the end of the year since I give it a 50/50 chance of happening. Still I dont think there is any fact to teh rumour because there are three weeks to go...would be unusual for him to declare this via a journalist...
 
Not a fan of ruck/defenders, upsets the structure more than fwd/ruck.

Agree on Rowe however when is he due back after his knee for one and is it such a good idea sending a player thats coming off a knee into the ruck even for short periods ?
Jones in no way would i mess with what he's doing at full back he stays there imo .
