Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

If 2027 picks are allowed to be traded. Couldn’t we use it for a 2026 pick we could use for Cody.

Considering the perceived strength of the 2026 draft - as well as clubs knowing we'll need to get more involved for Walker - on top of the 2027 draft being likely severely diluted because of Tassie, we'd get cents on the dollar trying to move our 27 1st into 26.

Most people are missing the obvious you can’t play 3 talls in a forward line these days and especially not 4.

Logan McDonald would be the corner piece of a trade in some way as the most valued of the 3 hence why I think eagles will be involved in some way.

I get that he's from WA and Allen has just left, but do the eagles actually want him?

Jake Waterman, Jobe Shanahan, Archer Reid, Jack Williams... they might prefer to add to other areas

Given in 2027 the Tassie devils get picks 1, 3,5, 7, 9, 11 & 13 we will be lucky if that pick is still in the 20's

Wonder if SOS will be panicking a bit now...very real possibility that with Marshall and Steele sticking around that they may have overcommitted to player payments for the next couple of years. Could be some legitimate salary dumps at the Saints coming next year with them having to give picks with players just to get their books in order.

For Elijah to be getting virtually no interest, and us seemingly happy to pay him out, his issues must be pretty significant considering his talent.

Ironic that a few Cats players are probably infinitely worse and get lauded. If they didn't have 14 mid/forwards, they'd be a good fit. Club of broken/naughty footballers that find their best football by virtue of the club cleaning up their messes and letting them focus on playing football.

Heck no - they need salary off their books and they've got a million kids to play. He'll be a VFL player by next year so we'd be doing them a favour. Keep the picks as low as possible - maybe a future 3rd at most.
