Stubborn, Dodoro-like behaviour by SOS. Papley is contracted and required, thus we pay overs, just like Gibbs was contracted and required for us. Really egotistic stuff and you don’t see Geelong or West Coast playing such rubbish games. Pick 9 for Papley is overs but cop it and move on, who gives a * about a pick in the 30s coming back.

As for Martin, can’t help being knocked back a very fair offer which we made. We can pick him up elsewhere.

Ah well, hope SOS and the team really learn from this one.

Whatever money we were to spend on Papley is in the coffers to spend on Jack Martin year 1 of his contract. Won't go back to Gold Coast and Melbourne can't afford him. We get him for nothing. It's stressful cas we have to wait for longer, but Gold Coast once again have shown they don't know how to trade.
