Carlton supporters can be sorted into three main age groups, according to which generation of Silvagni you saw playing first.

And then there's Thy, who billeted Sergio's father Giacomo when he emigrated to Australia in 1924...

This Absolutely smoked me 😂😂😂 that would mean that Sergio would have had to call Thy uncle and Thy would have been allowed to hit Serge with his belt when young Serge got out of line. It also would mean that Thy would have been first in line for Giacomo’s home made wine and Grappa.

Sticks used to smoke like a chimney, remember hearing Sheedy saying how much he "hated" Sticks because of it in the sense that he said "Imagine how much better he couldve been if he wasnt on the darts".

There was also a story about the Crows when Blighty went there. Before him, the odd player would duck out for a dart at functions. When Blighty arrived, he went out for dart at a function an found a few players sneaking one in. Blighty said nothing, by the end of the year, half the team was on them. God bless Blighty, the last of the true larrikins.

Things must have been different back then, fancy using retirement homes to billet immigrants these days ...

he was a good boy, a kind boy.........he used to say to me, "this foodball.......is nice.........."

He thought the umpire's name was Hey you bloody mug.*

*Thanks to Col Elliott

Yet Rhino lasted 10 years for 50 games........

David was only on the list because he was Sticks brother
He was handy for a year or 2 Stones, think injuries slowed him quickly though.
Kernahan the younger was going alright playing in defence until he did an ACL. Others went past him while he was injured & that was all she wrote.

Was he the one that would pay young Steve for every goal he kicked in a senior game in early days of his career ?

David Kernahan was pretty good full back for short time he made it his role in team. 1990 he would have been full back and SOS centre half back most weeks. SOS not far off Brownlow at Centre Half Back in season 1990.

I think Giacomo (Jack) declared bankruptcy after SOS's 10-goal game against Fitzroy....
