Recommitted Bobby Hill [OOC 2023] - stayed at the Pies in 2025

I dont know what he'd be traded for if he asked for a trade but I think you're way off on the line of thinking on this one.

Time will tell but id be surprised if I'm wrong. Tbh with his issues i think its more likely he stays at Collingwood or negotiates a settlement and retires anyway.

Can i ask what these issues are? As far as i can see (haven't looked to hard) is that he has broken up with his partner. Has he been blowing off some steam? perfectly understandable, doubt it'll be a ongoing issue!

From what I've seen, they have split up and she has relocated I think? - Didn't end well.
They have kids, which tends to complicate the situation.

I'd imagine it's an ongoing issue that will have to be managed if he remains with the Pies.

If I were the Eagles Id offer a 2027 2nd and thats it.

If a fringe player wanted out and Pies were keen then a swap.

Would be neligent for West Coast to burn significant draft capital on a trade for Hill.

Freo are challenging now, maybe they would.

Won't she let him see them. How does he provide for them if he doesn't play football?
Work for JUH?
I think she moved back to WA ? That's the issue if he wants to see the kids it's a fight not just a drive .

He probably also doesn't have a house of his own in WA and in custody battles home environment is a pre requisite

Good on him.

Hope your mob feel the same.

Bit of a weird one as he's a great player when on, but I think both Eagles and Dockers folk would probably rather he sticks with Collingwood to sort out the combination of his personal issues and his very long (and no doubt lucrative) contract.

Have not heard from the Club about it but I reckon we might get answer after his Exit Interview

Freo had a chance to pick him up in the draft after he spent a lot of time training with Brad Hill and teammates leading up to it. Weren’t interested.

Then had a chance to get him in the first time he wanted a trade. Weren’t interested.

I highly doubt the lack of interest was due to his playing ability and I can't see that changing now

Left out hospitalised and that’s the main reason he took a large chunk of time away from the club.

Collingwood were never going to play him after that despite returning to full training.

Such a young man with a young family I hope he gets the help he desperately needs.

Hill still very loyal to the pies and doesn’t want to leave. Still trying to convince his ex-partner to stay in Melbourne.

Can't see Hill walking away with 5 years to go on a contract.

That would be insane.

If he can't manage his issues i can. But hopefully he can knuckle down and not do that.

Remember he's playing for Collingwood, might have trouble doing a flight, as he'd have forgotten where the airport is.

Ok, I'm leaving the building.

A texter in to the Trade Bell has him as a lock to Port Adelaide.

Hardly a reliable source but who knows.
Clearly a talented player and would fill a need on Port’s list.

But, I don’t see it. I think he will stay at Collingwood or go to a WA club. Also don’t think Port have the trade collateral to get a deal done.
