Kenny's playing because there are no better options ......Watts may have been if he stayed with Hentschell and Perrie.

But here's a question back at you ....If Kenny and Shirley were on the trade market would anyone look to pick them up.......absolutely not!.
We sometimes need to take our rose colored Crows glasses off and be a bit objective ....it doesn;t mean we are any less supporters of the Crows by doing it though

You just blew all your credibility on this topic in one foul swoop there WW. :)

Let me qualify that statement then....the AFc would not get a first round pick for them so close the door on that.....now that leaves a second round Mmmm?....maybe Kenny but Shirley a third rounder if he was to go at all.... frankly I can't see any club giving a second round pick for Kenny.....if so someone might enlighten me.

BTW have a real close look at the replay from Friday and Kenny....very interesting game for a star player???
Ease up, he's just having a flat spot.
I would bet that he's being pushed on the trak atm. or maybe he does have OP,

Robran is IMO our best ever CHF and like kenny he only ever stared in a couple of games a year (if that), but he (like kenny) was integral to the balance and structure of the team.

I would also bet that his off the ball work rate is right up there, next time your at a game watch him behind the ball instead of in front or at the ball, and you will see what i mean.
i would trade a 1st round round for him, (if situations were reversed).

I agree his "type" of player is very important to our structure, but realistically Kenny's a workhorse in the mould of Mensch from Geelong.

I have seen him live a few times and he's a trier but I worry that he can be exploited ...TWT

BTW good luck getting a first round pick...I suggest put the idea on the main board and see how it floats.....I think it'll probably sink ;)

Of course Craig says that because Kenny takes an opposition tall, gets to a reasonable number of contests and is rarely outmarked.

But that role could be done by Perrie and Biglands (if he wasn't required in the ruck)...in fact Biglands ruckwork currently is very average and he is more mobile than Kenny.

I don't think Perrie or Biglands would do as well as McGregor at CHF. Perrie is often described as a 'hard-working' CHF which, translated, means that he leads wide to the wings so that he can take chest marks.

One of the reasons we have improved this season is that McGregor has replaced Perrie at CHF. McGregor gets a much higher percentage of his possessions where it counts.

And Biglands? There would not be a worse mark-for-his-size player in the AFL. Also perhaps the worst reader of the play we have on our list.

I'm sure Mcgregor is carrying a niggle at the moment but even so, he is a much better option than those two plus he's only 25. Our spine of Hentschel, McGregor, Bock and Rutten could be together for the next 5 years at least.

So what do you think they would be worth on the market Stiff?

That excuse has been used for him for over 12 months now ....a reconstruction has a shorter recovery time
