Question no 1 - Why isn't this poll on the Bombers club poll ?

Question no 2 - Have the bombers actually got anything decent to trade for any of these players bar Kent.
Unless they give up pick 2 in the draft, they have no shot of getting any of those players as the tradeable players on Essendon's list are cack.

Nah i dont want him to go, he cops a lot of flack from some of our stupid supporters, some mistakes happen to others and they dont get booooo'ed from the crowd, when Kingsley does the exact same thing, the crowd goes off.

Hmm. I would think Geelong would want more then a 2nd rnd pick for Kelly, I don't think the Eagles will be trading Chad Fletcher anyway, and Akermanis is not worth trading an 2nd round draft pick for in this year's super draft, esp how low Essendon will have it, considering they will finish 15th.
Also didn't Aker want to go to an club that is a chance to play finals in the next few years, so that counts the Bombers out.

No Longy, what I meant was that if Essendon want any of those above mentioned players (apart from Kent probably) they could only trade draft picks away as the only tradeable players Essendon have would not be good enough in those swaps. The only players that other clubs would want from Essendon, the Bombers would not trade away anyway (IE Monfries, Stanton etc) although you may get something for Kepler Bradley if you wished to trade him.
I don't think Brisbane would be after someone like solomon for instance in an trade for Akermanis (although stranger things have happened)
Also just with out of contract players that the Bombers may hope to lure, you don't have the luxury of the no 1 pick in the PSD (assuming Carlton finishes bottom) so clubs won't be hijacked/threatened into making deals with the Bombers. Aker isn't out of contract anyway.

Also with Richie Cole, yes there were worse players drafted IE Jonno Hay esp and Saddington, but Saddington cost Carlton an 5th rnd pick, not an 2nd rnd pick that Essendon sacrificed for Cole.
Carlton is in the same boat as Essendon in that we can't really get anything decent in an trade as we won't be trading any of our valuable young players, however we do have the 1st Pick in the PSD as an wildcard, so we can try and get an out of contract player VIA PSD.

If that's what you meant, it's not what you said.

The only players that other clubs would want from Essendon, the Bombers would not trade away anyway (IE Monfries, Stanton etc) although you may get something for Kepler Bradley if you wished to trade him.

Carlton wanted Bolton last year, he just didn't want to go.
Players like Solomon, the Johnson's, Welsh etc would all attract attention in trade week, however they are worth more to Essendon that what we would get in a trade.

A lot would have to go right, injuries, good trading/drafting and continual improvement from younger players. We've lost 10 games by less than 24 points, so for the most part at the very least we are competitive. It's unlikely, but not out of the question.

We traded Ted Richards for a first round pick. In effect we swapped Richards for Cole and upgraded pick 23 to pick 19. Pretty happy with that. I wasn't over the moon about getting Cole, the boy can tackle though. However, he is yet to prove a waste or a success.

You can't draft two players with that pick.

Im not bagging u guys but i think essendon should go hard at this draft and forget about quick fixes u have alot of areas that need improving but u also have some good youngsters being a hawks fan i know where ur at, but ur prolly still a better team than we were in 2004, so not a total rebuild is needed but one good draft should set u up pretty well so now while ur down there top up on youth.pretty harsh about the priority changes but 2 second rounders isnt bad in this draft .
