Fantastic signs at quarter time.
Winders is picking up a lot of disposals in the midfield.
Lovett has been explosive, his speed in that run through the midfield was brilliant. Davey's chasing and tackling is supurb.
McVeigh BOG in that quarter.

I have always liked essendon and with jetta, davey and lovett the pace problem is well and truly gone. The lucas lloyd combo is arguably the best in the competition and if they have enough belief they could well be a force come finals time. It was a joy to watch and i will enjoy watching the new baby bombers take on the comp. Sheedy has done amazingly well to have these young kids ready for afl level footy and they're thriving. Just need to know how good freo and adelaide really are before i make any assumptions and how far the bombers will go though.

What makes it better, is that we still have a few good players to come back into an already strong lineup.
Hird and Lloyd didn't have a mighty big influence on the game even though Lloyd kicked his usual bag of 4, i thought he was well held today by Grover.
Only dissapointing aspect of the game was Welsh's injury could keep him out for up to 3-4 weeks.

That was a breathtaking game and win (a win, woohoo) even though it was difficult going up against Sandilands.
I'm not sure what was going on with Laycock though.

Anyone know what happened with NLM? was he injured coz he didn't play for Bendigo either. If it was a form issue you would think he would play for Bendigo.

3 - windalich - ran all day, used it well, really has developed into a good solid midfeilder with a dash of pace that has improved us greatly...
2 - mcveigh - was hard at it all day, great disposal...
1 - lovett - made a couple of mistakes but broke open the midfeild more than 3 times....when he got his kicks right they were bullets on the chest of loyd/lucas and co...

great win boys. mcveigh played a disciplined tagging job on Bell restricting him to a handful of possessions after quarter time. mcphee played an awesome seeping job, getting back to his 2005 form. winderlichs acceleration through the middle was inspiring. the new boys kept up their forward line pressure.
