People around me did it. They were bagging him all game and when the kid boots 3 in the last they got back on the bandwagon pretty quickly. Same people were part of the "just kick it" cries. Clearly had no idea.

So when the Coach and Captain both say during the game that we are over possesing the ball with too much handball I presume you put these guys into the NFI basket?

Paying supporters can do what they want.

I would never "jeer" a player (never have, never will), but on todays first half I understand their frustration if they chose to do so.

I thought we over possessed the ball in the first half too but it was more that our handball was putting the next bloke under the pump and not releasing them, or just missing them altogether. It looked bad. The decision making needed to be cleaned up and it was in the second half.

I didn't think the solution was just slamming it on the boot which we ended up doing anyway in that first half.

Not forgiveable ever, EVER, but understandable if a player has had zero output for weeks and the team is getting pole-axed.

Quite another thing entirely when the side is going well not only on the day, but for ten weeks, and likewise the forward line.

Perspective though, they are slobs sitting in the grandstand eating hotdogs, living their lives and frustrations through better individuals than themselves. Poor form, but I doubt when Robbie T goes to bed tonight, he's losing sleep because some fat dude in a truckers' cap gave his personal critique on his footy ability.

DJ, that "fat dude in a truckers cap" might have been a member for many years, the kind of person that has kept the club afloat and pays each week with his back pocket (I don't agree with jeering (and never have).
