Josh Caddy will be a future captain of the Geelong Football Club.

I watched him closely on Friday night, and he appears to be a natural and vocal leader. He reminded me a bit of Selwood in his early years, hard at the ball, very vical on the field. When he came off for a breather during 3Q he was pumped, revving up others on the bench. After the game there he was consoling teammates. And the kid is only 20.

What GFC predictions are you prepared to bookmark?

I had exactly the same thoughts about Caddy the other night-they will have to toss a coin between him and GHS for captaincy.

I think in a few years you will see:

That would require the match committee to actually start giving Horlin-Smith game time at some stage.

Heard Caddy interviewed after the game. VERY impressive, very generous, respectful and forthright. Great leadership exhibited then and there.

Guthrie looks great but to say he will be as good as Enright, seems like wishful thinking to me. He will be a great player for us but why compare him to anyone?

Because comparing players to other players is one of the ways people commonly discuss footy?

Enright is one of the best ever IMHO, so yeah, maybe it's a bit over the top, but Guthrie just seems to have something special about him, especially given how early in his career it is.
