Have you all seen this? Old news, but hadn't heard until I saw a follow up in Sunday's paper.

"FORMER Brisbane Lions chief executive Michael Bowers insists he is not being groomed for a similar role with Brisbane Roar, despite being hired by Football Federation Australia to help the cash-strapped, A-League club."

Had to laugh then scratch my head. WTF.
What is going on at FFA?

"Bowers, who oversaw a $2.4 million loss at the Lions last year, revealed he was approached by long-time friend and FFA chief executive Ben Buckley to help the Roar just days after parting ways with the AFL club."

Sorry to hear that the Roar have anything to do with Bowers. He is typical of a manger with eyes on financial numbers (and failed with this at the Lions) with no feel for a company and their clients (dismal failure).
