Braces

Who here has had braces/plates in there life?
I had them from 1996 till about the end of 1999.gggrrrr they really shted me but I am hell glad I got them! I now have to wear my plates 2 nights a week till im 17 and then ill be FREEEEEE! woohoo Only bad thing is that in about a year, i got told 2 weeks ago by my ortho, that Ill have to get my friggen wisdom taken out coz they are all coming through at the moment and peeing me off!

I had braces from October 1999 until about November 2000. They sh*t me up the wall. I have a plate now, and these days I only have to wear it at night.

Yep. Great Fun. Esp when you wake up, you can't feel half of your face.

Had plates from year 6 till year 8.

My bottom jaw was underdeveloped, so i had to bring it forward. Lucky i got it done early, because i wouldv'e needed surgery for it now.

LOL that happened to me when I had to get 4 of my teethies pulled out just before my braces were put in and all I remember is lots of blood and crunching noises as they were pulled out...festy as!
The good thing about having my wisdoms pulled out after they have come through is that I wont have to go to the hospital and be putten(is there such a word? hehe) to sleepies and stay overnight! yay!

I've had heaps of teeth pulled out. Before I had my braces, I wore a plate, then the first teeth were yanked out. Then a few years later, braces. Then the wisdoms were dug out. Didn't stay in hospital over night, but, as I wasn't allowed to eat anything incase the stiches opened, I was starving all week at home.

My sister actually had her wisdom teeth out last week. All I can say is ouch!!!!!
The sight of it makes me hurt.
Im pretty lucky, havent even had a filling yet.

Had braces and a plate, don't now. Which reminds me, got a dentist appointment on wednesday after I go shopping for my costume for muck-up day! woohoo!

I had a plate in Primary School, many years ago. Then I had to go to a Speech Therapist to learn where to put my tongue when I talked or swallowed or stuff. Never had braces, though. Dad reckons my dentist doesn't believe in them. I've still got a bit of a gap between my front teeth, but I can live with that.

The tooth with the arrow on it has to be pushed up aswell as so other little things. 2 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!

Yep I have had the whole lot. All done when I as at Primary skool. and had a plate in at the start of high, I had the braces in from Januray 92 till October 93 I think!

yeapp..

got braces during first yr uni... (hahahah)...
stayed on for 18 months...

not too bad... the worst part was the monthly tightening... aching teeth..

and, before that, i had to get 4x wisdom teeth taken out in one go....

2x needles in the gums for each tooth... 8 in total.. argh...

just remember the doc had me in a headlock trying to wrench the damn things out..hahaha... and blood.. oh, the blood.. the nurse had a little vacuum, suckin the blood out... the vacuum tube just had to be see-thru..so i could see the blood draining out...

then, using that plastic thread to sew up the gaps...

just lovely...

anyway, have a lovely smiling set of teeth now...

i had to wear a plate for about 6 months/a year back in about 1994 when i was about 12 or something.

Ive had my Wisdom teeth out. I wont tell you its not that bad or anything....cos that would be a lie. its pretty bad....how many do you have to have out??? 2 or 4??

I had 4 out last year....i looked like a chipmunk for about a week, and my mouth was bleeding non stop for about a day or two....the stitches came out to early and its very very delicate around that are for about 2-3 weeks, and can easily start bleeding again.
still - you get to eat jelly and yogos a lot, and you get plenty of sympathy...so its all good

Ooooh Macca, couldnt you have just lied! I have to get 4 taken out but they are all coming through now so i wont have to go to the hospital and the jelly sounds gooodd....hopes its red tho! hehe
