So has he signed or are we talking Barrett/Ralph speculative drivel?

Link to the report of him signing a contract? I can't find anything so far

With all due respect this is like gripping onto a tweet from Mark Stevens, if the deal was done we would all know about it.

LOL @ the Hawfy spooks unable to handle the news !! Guess it's all eggs into the Tom Mitchell basket, who I actually think will end up at the Hawks. He won't be cheap though !!

ACE midfielder Brad Crouch is understood to have agreed in principle to a new long-term deal to stay a Crow.

In what would be a major coup for the club, it is believed Adelaide has beaten off interest from triple premier Hawthorn, Essendon, which is likely to hold the No. 1 pick in the pre-season draft, and North Melbourne to re-sign one of its best young players and a future star.

It is understood Crouch, 22, will soon sign a four-year contract worth about $2.2 million.

Good looking prospect, but $550,000 a year! Wow you can earn a real living these days from playing AFL.

Hawks can better that IMO.
600k would be a starting point

Cheap!!! Gun of the future. Would have loved him in the brown and gold.
Would have been silly to leave as the Adelaide list is probably the most balanced list in the AFL

Please note the Demons have signed the McDonald brothers for 2 years, that is news. Not this 'it's believed' or 'it's understood' second rate reporting.

Never thought he would leave. Just wanted that extra cash. Would be mad to leave Adelaide at the moment I reckon. Great signing for AFC.
He could of got more elsewhere.
He obviously enjoys living in Adelaide and playing for a club that will be in the mix for a flag over the next few years

He has some great mates at the club especially Rory Laird and Thommo.
His brother plays with the same club and most brothers would love to play in the same AFL club as each other.
He has an SA girlfriend so no pussy whipped crap like Danger.
He is from Bendigo has said in many interviews that he hates Melbourne, so no real go home factor.
The team is going into a flag window while the Hawks are in the decline and Essendon are unknown.

So there many reasons for him to stay and none to go really.

Crows supporters seem to be jumping the gain. Till its set in stone anything can happen

Nope.. its a done deal ... time to put all your efforts into mitchell .. nothing more to see here. Hawks are not getting crouch for a second round pick...

Not sure why you crow supporters got your knickers in a twist...he is a great signing at that price. As for hawks they are very comfortable with Mitchell and have already met up with prestia just last week. We were never going to get three guns at once, one will do and maybe two if hill leaves and one of our stars retire.

Id like to kmow how hawks will get currency for prestia and mitchell? Serious question. Mitchell worth a first.. prestia .. 2 firsts ... hill not worth a first.

In a year Crouch will be better than every one of Essendon's midfielders, not sure what game you watch.

Could be? Fact is he isn't, Merrett drafted the same time is a long way in front of Crouch and that's not including Heppell.
But I think Crouch will be a gun, but he has a fair way to go yet, needs to put in some hard yards like his Bro.

Look at Crouch first 2 seasons, far outweigh Merrett's, injuries in 2014 and 2015 are the only thing between him and being a long, long way ahead of merrett, and on par with Heppell when he was the same age. Crouch's first 2 years were statistically better then Heppell's as well fwiw.

I know it's really going to be interesting but remember the hawks will go for one definitely but 2016 first rounder, end of first/ early second for hill plus 2017 first rounder could come into calculations. The GC one is the tricky one. They will definitely ask for a established 25 year old type to go with the picks. Time will tell I guess.

Fact is Crouch's best season is miles off Merrett's best season, despite being 1 year older and 1 year longer in the system.
Pretty simple to understand.
Also Crouch had a better 1st and 2nd year compared to Steven and Ablett, it's a piss weak argument.

Agreed. Merrett and Heppell have both shown more than Crouch so far. Crouch may end up better than both of them, but i doubt it.

This is Merrett's 3rd season, Crouch's 3rd season was non existent due to injury, and his 2nd was affected by it, so while you're right I think it's short sighted to say it's a piss weak argument, without injuries it's fair to say he could be on par with Heppell's first 4 seasons based on his first 2. Only one game but 40 touches 21 contested against Hawthorn as a 2nd year player is disgustingly good, had that been for a victorian team he would've been praised as the next judd.

So Don Pyke is confident he will sign, someone forgot to tell him that BigFooty reckon it's a done deal.
