Very rare that I actually create a thread, but I thought I would following the condemning I got from some people regarding the notion of dropping Brad Fisher this week.
Young Bradley Fisher has proven two things in his time at Carlton.
1) He's a fantastic mark and always gets into great position to mark.
2) He's not particularly good at anything else.
* He very rarely kicks to advantage in the field of play.
* He constantly deflates the team with his poor goal kicking.
* His handballs miss targets and lack penetration.
* He tackles rarely.
* He doesn't apply forward pressure.
* His decision making, beyond marking, is awful.
* He's ineffective at ground level.
- I don't want this to sound like too much of a Richmond 'eating their own' thread. Brad Fisher in some senses is a good player, but he is not jesus and he will not spoon with you on a cold night. He was a good late pick-up and a role player, but let's not get carried away.
