Not concerned at all with Lloyd leaving. I honestly reckon half the people on bigfooty could have had our list in better shape if given the chance.

Don't really think too much of the recruiters/scouts that are at AFL clubs. They are all much of a muchness and operating on pure luck as much as (or more than) skill.

AFL app says Brad Loyd left Freo on Wednesday and starting with Carlton immediately he has to be taking our IP with him to use in the draft
We have invested the whole year in draft / trade just for him to walk out on us at the most critical time
The club must be spitting chips

Firstly, it happens. Secondly the club would’ve known about his interest in the job and I would highly doubt they’d begrudge him the desire to improve his lot in life in fact they most likely supported him. Thirdly, the club would’ve or should’ve adjusted his role while the decision was being made, and would’ve asked him to leave instantly once they found out about the appointment.
Bond went for it too.

Shame Bond didn’t get it..

No great loss.

Haha really? This from the one whose admiration of Brad Lloyd's work in our 2011-2015 drafts and trust in Brad Lloyd's abilities as a list manager was constantly reiterated on this board during 2016, at a time when even Rosich himself had to admit that our list management was shit.

Shame Bond didn’t get it..
Shame they both didn't go & we got some fresh blood.
Hopefully Lloyd does a Silvagni & takes away some C graders in exchange for high picks

Typical Freo, we know assistant coaches, list manager are looking, hopefully we have been on the front foot aswell.
Up the road Brady Rawlings has announced a few category B players, a 245 game player, previous experience with North.
Who will be the next no name at Freo?

He will rat us out. I wonder if the soft cap applies to carlton
Yes it does. Apparently Carlton were dead last in footy department spending. New CEO decided we had and extra 1.5mil we could throw at it, which would bring us up to the top quartile but not the absolute top.

Makes you wonder wtf Trigg was doing and makes his sacking much more understandable.

So will you drop your CV into the club?

I think it is the foxtel mob that are saying Brad LLoyds recruiting is the problem. May give us a chance to find someone better.

Watched bits of 360 & On The Couch for the first time in yonks.
Surprised that Slobbo, The Horse Masturbator and the couchers were far more balanced/reasoned in their assessment of the loss and rebuild than our board.
They were measured and strangely objective.

Recruitment generally and the fact that we have only selected two A graders with our last 10 first round picks were identified as the ground zero of our woes.
Edit: just saw that Jonathan Brown said Lloyd would want to lift his game at Carlton. We'd only picked 4 A graders from 10 drafts.

Garry Lyon his usual sly, disingenuous self. Got a bit of Doghorn about him that bloke.

I was listening to The Age podcast today and Caroline Wilson's only question seemed to be "Why isn't Ross Lyon playing more younger players?"

She clearly hasn't watched us this year, just glanced at the results.
