Love how he just takes the p*** and just bounces his way out of traffic. Literally.

Has an awesome fake as well. Bit of muscle on the frame and he could be anything.
Yeah that bounce to get out of traffic got a giggle out of me....and that little dribble along the ground with the outside of his right foot or a goal. The kid has that instinct. That's the type of thing you can't teach. Eddie has that instinct that he just things unexpected. It's impossible to teach.

NOTE: I am NOT saying Cook is second coming of Eddie

Look’s like he has a massive ceiling, very good pick up, could actually be anything I reckon

Aside from the speccy stuff, I like that bit starting at 0.50 where after burning off 2 players in the backline and kicking it 40m to a teammate, (after soaking up a push) he then continues a support run up the field. Crows need more players who keep running and getting to the next contest.

I can see why Adelaide spent a bit extra to get him and move up the order. Special talent, natural thinker, just knows how beat opponents, got it all even the don’t argue dusty fend off. This playing against men with a very non mature body. Wait for a few preseasons in gym, wow he will be good. I think we will look back in few years and say he should have been apart of fantastic five. Gonna be a ripper.

Highlights look very impressive except for one thing, a total avoidance of using his left foot. Let's hope he has at some ability to use his left, even if it's not great.
I thought exactly the same thing. The ability to be able to find his way onto his right is impressive.

I did't want to post anything because it's just a highlights reel. Recruiters see a hell of a lot more of players and he wouldn't have been drafted if he didn't have some capability on his left.

If include our chef, that would make it 5. :$

Poor guy..he fell out of a plane on his way to brisbane

This kid has something special and well could end up as the steal of the draft .

Perfect 3rd or 4th floating forward who can get up the ground and back towards goal creating many a headache for opposition defenders .

The exact player type we have been craving to get into our system .

How colud you forget this bloke?

He was a year or 2 older than me at high school. Occasionally tried joining in the 'marks up' with the bigger kids. Very hard to get a kick with him in front of every pack, and Paul Bagshaw's son sitting on your head taking screamers.

So looking at some of the comparisons for some of the players we have picked up, we have

Thilthorpe : Salmon / Kreuzer / Joe Daniher (but a more mobile version of each)
Pedlar : Luke Parker
Cook : Alan Didak
Berry : Crouch

If they all end up anything like those players or even better happy days

Either he is completely useless with his left, or he is a smart/efficient player who likes to kick for goals with his preferred leg whenever possible. I’d much rather see a forward who kicks with his dominant side than a forward who kicks with non-dominant for the sake of a kick.
Also, I love seeing a forward bouncing and running closer to goal to improve his chances of accuracy (1:24 mark of his highlights reel).

So we used the Brad Crouch pick on Cook .....could end up being a good outcome

It’s a technicality, but we actually used the Crouch pick on Sam Berry (it was second round compo, so after our second round pick). Either way, I’m very happy with both of these selections. Thought they were our two strongest selections of the draft considering everything else that was available at each pick.
