Interested to read what people think about breakfast radio in Australia. There seems to be varying degrees of satisfaction plus it would be fair to suggest that a lot of people are clearly disillusioned with commercial radio in general.

There was a thread on this recently (I think on the Media board). I can't answer the "Why I listen" because I don't listen anymore.

2. People who think they are funny but aren't
3. Endless talk on music stations
4. The fact music stations only play 2 songs an hour
5. Too much Hollywood gossip - that is where all the material comes from and it is boring!

They actually have intelligent and interesting guests on as well, and can form coherent sentences which ranks them above some of the commercial stations.

FWIW on a recent trip to Sydney for a meeting I had to listen to Kyle & Jackie O in the taxi. The rest of Australia should thank their lucky stars they are not infected with such drivel.

THE BREAKFAST SHOW YOU REGULARLY LISTEN TO
When I shower MMM is on because my brother has it tuned into the radio in there every morning.
In the car I either listen to music or SEN because they will give traffic, weather and news as well as talk about something I can actually bear to listen to.
