Every year a player has a breakout year where he shows that he can perform at an elite level in the AFL 90% of the time.
Last year it was Andrew Carrazzo. Who do you guys think it will be this year. My bet is on Marc Murphy. Showed in his first year that he will be a superstar an backed it up in his 2nd year with some very good performances.
This year with less pressure I think he will make a huge impact as a player that can deliver into the forward 50 with precision and kick a goal when needed. One of if not the best kick at our club. Another 2 to watch are Michael Jamison and Jake Edwards.

Waite.

He has shown what he is capable of but desperately needs to add consistency to his game. He can be brilliant one week then go missing for the next couple. If he can put it all together he could be devastating.

All of the above are due like waite, murph, walker and even Gibbs to a point! Judd says his best footy is ahead, and you cant help but think Fisher will consolidate on last year with better support...Aisake and Jamison could be the surprise packets, both look ready to stand up!

walker is the big one, and murphy for mine, gibbs still needs one more year, but will become a top 10 player in the comp, in the next few years.... and i dont think waite will ever be a superstar, he will allways be a ''good'' player, his foot skills and decion making is terrible sometimes, and if it has not got better by now it never will..

I was just thinking how good a combination would Judd and Walker be. If Walker comes out of his shell and can play like he did against Port that day we could be in for a few more wins than expected.
MMMMMMMMMMM............Walker and Judd AHHHHHHHkkkkkk

i'd have to say in terms of "breaking" out murphy will be the one to break free, he's had a year of being tagged under his belt so he's a bit wiser to the tricks of the trade, he has more help in the midfield this year to take the pressure off him, and he's had 2 solid pre-seasons in a row so he should be fitter and have a bigger engine.

Murphy, Gibbs, Walker and Jamieson - in that order.

In fact, if someone (sometwo ?) can do a decent job at FB and CHB and release Thornton he could have a pretty big season as well.

Blasphemer!!!

I hope Russell for the fact that I know he could be such a good player if he just got it all together............and to stick it up the endless line of trolls who bag him ...............add walker to dominate for the same reasons, thought he has progressed nicely in his career to date and is sneaking under the guard of opposition clubs and fans.
