Browne and Grigg are not and will never be anything near Delidio. Imagine him in a top side he would be 50% better and he is already awesome. Grigg , Borwne and Garlett and Hammer are fringe players.
hammer and garlett will be guns

I would also do walker + hammer for Delidio + 2nd round
No club is going to give up their best player for a handful of mediocre picks and players. ....

It could be that or get nothing and he walks to the PSD. I think he'll stay at Richmond even though he despises the place. The Tiges have completely butchered his development, and he's now stuck on the worst list in the AFL with no future. Must be a little depressing.![]()
...t.A fair bit of Carlton's rise is due to the the fact you were down & received good draft picks etc so i wouldn't be patting yourselfs to hard on the back.& with the psd thing,do you think he would really want to go to a club in a simular situation to us ?

Coming from Kyabram myself, I have a soft spot for him, but after seeing him in last nights game, I'm not that keen. He is very much an outside player(can't/won't get his own ball) and I think we would have to pay too much for him. ..

Richmond have actually received way way more draft picks than the Blues. The problem is you keep stuffing them up, and trading them away for dud's.
He'd be 4th maybe in our midfield list, so wouldn't get a tag. If he was at the Blues he'd play more on the wing. But it would take a massive development effort to get the defensive side of his game up to scratch though. He has no idea what to do when he doesn't have the pill and has never played in a team with a structure or gameplan. Happy to give up say pick 12-15, but no more.![]()

We need KPP, Post is about the only guy from Richmond I would be interested in. Not likely but.
That's not actually true. I generally compare our draft picks from 2004 onwards, with Frawley's stupid trades and your clubs draft restrictions. It's when both clubs really started getting picks to rebuild.
Since then Carlton have had picks 1,1,1,3,6,9 inside the top 10 (excluding Walker) and and a number of others outside the top 10.
Richmond have had picks 1,2,4,8,8,8 inside the top 10 as well as others outside.
Although they may have had a similar number of picks the quality of picks Carlton have had has been much greater and have had access to the cream of the draft on more occasions.
Since Rawlings moved Lids on the ball permanently and gave him a talking too (about 2 months ago) he has averaged about 5 tackles a game. His last six weeks include 7,6,6,2,7 and 9 last night. He's managed to win 36 clearances over those 8 games too (including 6 against Carlton), so it's a myth that hes soft and can't win his own ball.
So 28 disposals and 9 tackles weren't good enough? Was never an inside mid but has been forced to change his game with the injuries to Foley and Cotchin. He has all the attributes to become an elite mid and over the last 10 weeks has been amazing. Would be a massive loss.
Not sure. He's been a disappointing #1 pick. Never really been that good in the middle. Plays more on the wing or flanks. It would take 12 months at least to re-coach him and bring his game up to scratch after the damage the Tiges have done. Wouldn't be offering anything too excessive. If he does bail, I suspect Blues would be his first choice.![]()

Do you actually think his performance had any impact on the game? Both him & Cousins had the most disposals in the game, yet Richmond only managed 6 goals for the game, including only 1 in the second half.
You need to be careful not to totally rely on statistics to give you an idea on how well a player has performed. Neither Deledio or Cousins had an impact on the game, which tells you something about their 28 disposals.
I could use your notion today and say that Gibbs had no impact because you's lost by 10 goals. Gibbs' game should be dismissed because the Blues got flogged. Kind of weird that when a team loses their best players get no credit. Deledio and Gibbs were both their teams best players and the result shouldn't determine the impact they have.
