"Reasonable" is pretty darn kind. And even if it was true, not sure that's what we need now. Fact is, I thought the MRP saved Ross the trouble of having to drop him.

Thanks for saving me the effort Percy:thumbsu:

He did have a shocker against Collingwood in Rd 19 - but so did quite a few back then (in particular McQualter, Geary, Eddy, Montagna, Milne and Koschitzke) and would have been close to being dropped even if not suspended. I therefore agree with "the fact" of Percy's "thought".

However, he was a solid contributor against Hawthorn in Rd 16 (although mainly in the 2nd half when we ran over them) and West Coast in Rd 17 and was amongst our best against Port in Rd 18 with 15 disposals and 2 very important goals.

I'm just never sure which Fiora will turn up. He can be brilliant (he has played a few very good games for Casey), but may also be hiding for an entire game (and has been prone to do silly things lately - possibly as a result of his attempt to react to general expectation to be harder).

It seems that Lyon still likes him (I don't go to watch training sessions - but he appears to still be at least close to 'selecting himself' as Lyon would put it) and I would, as in Rd 16, generally see him as a good choice against a team like Hawthorn, so let's see...

In any event, I am certain that Lyon will field a team capable of beating Hawthorn despite us being the clear underdogs. And if Fiora plays, I'll cheer for him just as for any other St Kilda player.

If Ball doesn't get up for this week (hopefully he is right to go), bring back Fiora. The man is all class and played decent in the Casey game on Sunday. I'd much rather see Fiora in the side than X.Clarke, at least he can be trusted to run and carry and hit a target at distance.

In: Ball (Fiora)
Out: Allen

Go Sainters, I can taste the celebratory beers on the last Saturday of September.:thumbsu:
Emergencies:

S. Birss, M. Gardiner, A. Fiora

I hate you

But Fiora has attitude these days. He is tough. He got suspended.

Aaron Fiora floats like a butterfly and stings like a tomahawk missile. At mach 3. In the face.
Aaron Fiora is so fast, he can run around the world and punch himself in the back of the head.
When Aaron Fiora does a pushup, he isn’t lifting himself up, he’s pushing the Earth down.
When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night, he checks his closet for Aaron Fiora.
When Aaron Fiora crosses the street, the cars have to look both ways
Aaron Fiora ordered a Big Mac at Hungry Jacks , and got one

LOL. Thats the funniest thing I've ever read.:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

What a dog act by him in the VFL last week after the siren.

Depends if you want to expose our defence by playing Kosi forward all night and Gardiner and King in the ruck, or if you want to try and match our run = Fiora.

If Fiora is selected in front of ****ing Shane Birss than there is something seriously wrong with the selection comittee

What a ridiculous thread.
better brace yourselves because there is a whisper he is in.
Few things. can't believe people having a go at him about the incident last week. The other weak prick has no idea how lucky he is,anyone else would have kicked his head into the stands.
Secondly to say Fiora would choke in a PF need to go back and look at the 2005 PF.
Thirdly,Shane Birss is no good.

There has been something wrong with the selection comittee all year, and Fiora has been selected in front of Birss for other games.

I guess an emergency would depend on the type of player that needed to be replaced. But I would not think that there are too many roles that Fiora could do better than Birss. A bit more speed maybe?

You are right Fiora is one hot player. But because we are very generous at StKilda we would trade him back to Richmond in exchange for:

Bowden, or Richardson, or Deledio, or Johnson, or Brown, or Tuck, or Mc Mahon, or Simmonds, or Newman, or King, or Foley, or Tambling, or Jackson, or Schulz, or Cotchin, or Morton, or Conners, or Moore , or WHite , or Reiwoldt.:D

So much for that.

Flipping ridiculous...

At least you guys can purge him from your mind when he is delisted.

We will be reminded of him everytime we watch Pavlich run around.

OMFG... Ross Lyon you are an idiot. See what happens when Fiora plays?? If Birss had played I'm sure he would've made life a lot harder for one of their midfileders. McQualter, whoever he was playing on towelled him up. Did not do a thing.

Yes thats right it was Fioras fault. Not to mention he was better than half of his mates, and most of all lets keep up a saints tradition of recent times. lets kick fiora,Milne, the Clarkes...anyone at all...anyone so it disguises the real facts that kosi is a f****** waste of space,Dalsanto the most over rated player going around, the midfield way too slow, too Reiwoldt reliant, although understandable when Kosi is the other option.
No,it was Fiora.

Mate u haven't got a clue, there was only one Clarke. And Clarke was one of the best for us. Milne had no chance because the ball wasn't delivered quickly, or at all really. Kosi, not as bad as you suggest, he had a crap night but it is his first season back from injury and you can't expect him to work miracles. He'll be better next year. Dal Santo, he's an outside player, got a huge amount of attention from the Hawthorn players, he had it tougher than anyone tonight. The blame shouldnt go on anyone, the fact is we're just not good enough. Playing Fiora is just stupid, and added to it, and is also really really frustrating that Ross Lyon persists with players that have proven time and time again that they are not up to it.

Are you fair dinkum? I am not referring to just tonights game obviously. It's all the bloody time, and you just proved it.I know xavier didnt play,I know Milne hardly had a chance, read properlyI was defending Milne.Yes Kosi and Dal are awesome.

Classic! Brilliant! What would happen if Fiora was stuck in a lift with Chuck Norris though?

You don't know what you're talking about mate.

Several mistakes there, but one glaring - St. Kilda supporters don't lay into Milne - its everybody f&^*ing else!

Media is always on his back, if you look at his stats - he kicked more goals than any other small forward in the AFL this year. We in fact rely on him too much - which is why Schneider was brought in.

We love Milney, one of the few players in the team that gets fired up and fires up the team-mates as well.

Simple fact is, our midfield is not up to scratch and our forward line is far far too Riewoldt centric. Unfortunately Charlie Gardiner hasn't come along for what he was recruited for - which was to add some variety up forward. We need to go looking again.

Our midfielders don't kick enough goals either - never have really. Last one who did was Nicky Winmar - sad thing is, Nicky has never been replaced. Never.
