Given the fixture changes necessitated by Cyclone Alfred, there will not be a time where all teams have played the same number of games until the conclusion of Round 24.

In order for the ladder to provide a clearer indication of each team's progress, it is imperative that Laura Kane and the AFL reinstate Match Ratio (Win %) as the primary determining factor in sorting the ladder.

Agree - particularly later in the season when they are determining rounds 16 onwards (or whenever that starts) it will quell a bunch of unnecessary arguments.

I wouldn't be surprised if they apply their secret herbs and spice formula to determine that. Transparency and the current Dillon/Kane regime don't seem to gel.

Match ratio isn’t that hard, it is used in junior and local sports all the time. We will have it again from 2028, so might as well bring it back now.
