Expect him to announce his retirement at end of season. I've heard form a reliable source that he plans to retire at end of season. He might do Ok against the doggies but come finals time I think its a good idea to give as many of our young guys as psosible exposure to finals atmosphere. Perhaps a farewell game for him this week.

I'd rather show his arse the door. He has been a champion of the club but everybody's time comes and he's finished.
give him a lap of honour as befitting a great player of our club, but not a guernsey for the match.
He came back into the side last time off about 70 touches and 6 goals in two weeks for Bendigo... he ended up with 3 handballs for the match at senior level. I really don't think it will be any different this time.

I wouldn't mind him getting a game. We may as well try it as we're going to need a miracle like a mercuri return to form to get anywhere in september.

Honestly, are we going to get anywhere this September? Might as well play him, as it'll probably be his last. He's a champ, and deserves a fitting send off. Probably won't make a difference whether we do or don't play him against the Dogs.
Its one thing to play the kids, but on Saturday night when the heat was on, it was the kids who were the first to wilt. Mercuri has experience, and were going to need every inch we can muster if we are going to even make the finals. Mercuri IMO has earnt his spot.
