Bring Pearl Jam To Australia 2006

I heard rumors today then saw this on the pearl jam msg board....

Kings of leon and Sleater Kinney were announced for the big day out festival in January.
Apparently Ed did say they were touring out here with the kings of Leon!

The petition is probably worthless but mayswell

The BDO organisers have been trying to get Pearl Jam for as long as the festival has been going.

But PJ refuse to do festival gigs anymore after 9 of their fans were crushed to death at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark (which their tune "Love Boat Captain" was written about incidently).

I don't think they'd have anything new to flog, so unlikely. I wish, though.

They should go for another older band like Neil Young & Crazy Horse, or Paul Mac, or the new Lynyrd Skynyrd! I would especially love to see them.

New album is almost done, release date should be early next year. The rumors are strong for an Aussie tour early next year, especially since they were going along with the sth american rumors and they are touring sth america Nov/Dec

I went to the 3 melb shows, this time round I'm going to try get a ticket for every Aussie show.

no chance they will play bdo. would love them to tour the new album here, but seems unlikely as historically have only toured every 2 nd album in australia and they were here for riot act, so i guess its probably another 2-3 year wait for us

Oh dear. Can't agree with that at all.

I hope they come out again. They recently toured Canada and a few shows in the US. The news of the album has been dragging on. Months ago they were saying August, and it seems to kept being put back.

I saw them in 95, 98 and 2003. Incredible shows.
