Where the **** is Jessie's Girl.

Huge world wide hit, #1 song when MTV launched.

Won Springfield a Grammy.

Still played a ton more than the majority of the songs on that list.

Young people still get up to sing and dance to this one any function I've been at.

Rick Springfield wasn't on the voting list for whatever reason.

I wanted to vote for Let It Happen, but as it wasn't on the voting list, I didn't bother.

And in a welcome change from complaining about songs that I didn't think should be there, particularly older ones, I want to give a shout-out to a song I wouldn't have thought to vote for myself but absolutely blew me away hearing it again, I Was Only 19. Gave me goosebumps, I played it for my kids today, it says a lot about our history and national identity, wouldn't have any issue with that being considered one of Australia's best songs.

I was driving at the time it came on. I actually sing it - occasionally - myself at gigs but I don’t know if it was the context of the countdown and just being sandwiched in between a lot of Australian songs and the idea that it still has relevance to Australians now or what but driving along with the radio at high volume literally just the acoustic intro to that song made me tear up on Saturday

embarrassing by Michael Hing there, didn't seem aware of Jeremy Oxley's lifestory in recent decades, was reading straight off his Wiki page. Watch The Sunnyboy for starters dude.

Dylan Lewis in afternoons is much better.

Yeah, Hing is so painful to listen to.

What a mixed bag of a 10.

Pleasure and Pain 👍 (Hopefully good news for Boys in Town)
Harpoon 👍
Honeymoon is Over 👍
Art vs Science 👍

Lots of Nothing  ( very apt title). Good For You, Feeding the Family and lunch-time are solid tunes that I wouldn't mind making it, but they also have a lot of "bread with a glass of water on the side for dipping" songs.

Nikki Webster... come on now

I love INXS, but if I never have to hear New Sensation ever again I'll be ecstatic. As overplayed as it gets.
when you turn on Double J and hear the previous song (#139) you missed was New Sensation
