Not saying he didn't deserve punishment, but the punishment he got compared to some others has not been equal. There have been plenty of other players who've done silly things.He's no longer an AFL player - so nothing the AFL can and should do.
Don't see any hypocrisy, Benny did A LOT of silly things and deserved his punishment.

For Cousins he was charged with bringing the game into disrepute following the drugs bust that was thrown out of court. No such thing as innocent until proven guilty. Compare that to the Essendon saga. Players where only given provisional bans AFTER the show cause notices were issued and there has been no talk of bringing the game into disrepute.
Ahmed Saad was found guilty of using PED's and was not allowed to have any contact with players or the club for a year. If Essendon players are suspended will those suspensions be backdated considering the players have been completing pre-season training at the club with their team mates?
