None of which are protected by umps in rules or practice

Niggles and general sorness keep players out of games all the time. Are they considered injuries or that the players are just weak?

Every player is protected by the umpires, injured or not!

Not sure what my club has to do with it. Have you played the game though, ever? If you're on the field you're declaring yourself fit. How would the umpires know what dozen or so players are injured and therefore not able to be touched? What would stop any player from saying they're injured. Just ridiculous.

Christ, the rules state 'unreasonable contact' FFS. That means If you're injured and get tackled with the ball in play, fair game.....Read the rules of the game before mouthing off about 'ever playing the game'.....
