2 years is pretty much standard these days. Not a good thing for the club cause when that time is up and he's the best player in the league its gonna be a big pay rise

However it can be a good thing for clubs if injuries ruin a great/promising career, that way they aren't stuck in a Nick Holland type of situation where he was being paid 400 large a season to turn out for the reserves every so often.

Must have been put on the table for a first rounder and response has been luke warm.

McLean would easy warrant a first rounder and nearly every club would give theirs up for him. He was never put on the table. He simply recieved a bit of attention from Richmond and possibly other clubs.

Looking forward to another 2 years and beyond of Brock magic :D

I would have thought you'd have more to worry about then MFC contract negotiations.
