Kicked 4 goals yesterday for Springvale and has kicked 10 goals in the last 2 weeks. Almost a certainty to come in and be the 3rd tall in the forward line for next weeks game.

Thoughts?

I agree. We've put a lot of time and effort into Brooks. He's showing some form and my understanding is that he's keen to break into the senior side.

Given Freo's tall side, give the guy a chance. Love to see Brooks in this week

Get brooks in the team, It will take him a bit to adjust to AFL footy, but it will be worth it come finals time.

I saw most of Springvale's games last year and I was less than impressed with what I saw.

This year he looks like a totally new person. Most of his goals have been come from contested marks inside 50. Best of all he seems to have his athleticism back. After coming back from the knee reconstruction it appeared that he had lost his spring but that's not the case. While he has predominantly played forward, Box Hill's momentum was halted by his move into the ruck during the third quarter on saturday.

Ideally I'm sure they would have preferred to let him gain confidence in the VFL but without Riewoldt and Hamill let's give him a chance. Hopefully Fraser will be better for the run and I'd like to see either Ackland or Brooks played down forward when they aren't in the ruck. Great opportunity for Barry and full marks to the club for showing so much faith in him.

HAmill now in, but i still think Brooks will be given the nod for a FP position

Was unaware of Brooks' good form, that'll be awesome if he gets a game, seems like a good kid with loads of talent

Agreed, I think he's earned a game. He can play as a forward pocket and give Ackland a breather in the ruck.

If Sandilands is playing I don't think we can afford to have Blake ruck against him.

It will be excellent for him to play his 6th game, and his first of the season in front of his home crowd in tassie. Good on the big man!

I think its time to take him out of the cotten wool and see if young Barry sinks or swims.Hes been in the system for a while,I know hes done a knee and lacked some confidence on his way back but he was traded for some rather high picks and I want to see some returns!
All the best Bazz!! :) :) :)

Thomas is a ******** coach. Is trying to ruin one of greatest talents in the game.
Hopefully brooks gets a game next week
