That's not a reason though. I want to get to the bottom of this fixation with trying to get validation on how good a player from your club is.

Is it because you feel proud that Trent plays for the Tiges and you barrack for the Tiges?

Trent Cotchin has ignited the football world's imagination. Non-Richmond supporters are claiming he is so good that he could win a Brownlow Medal in 2009, his first real season.

Football identies keep talking about how good he is.

Non-Richmond people ask the question: Is Cotchin better than Judd at the same age?

It is now common news to hear people say they think Cotchin will be as good as Judd.

Kreuzer and Yarran vs. Vickory and Cotchin is a valid thread but valid threads don't work on Bigfooty.

And the Murphy one is ridiculous too but I think was seen as a bit of a tongue in cheek one where this one is dead set serious.

Cotchin's VO2 MAX (endurance potential) is among the elite of the AFL, if he can get 15-20 possessions in half a game of football at 17 years old when he's running exhausted, imagine what he'll be like when his endurance increases x10.

Its a well known fact that Cotchin can't handle a tag, or couldn't at least in the U-18s. Cast your memory back to last year before embarrassing yourself. IIRC he was only really able to break the tag in one of the finals game last year and that too only in the second half.

He struggles badly and has to learn to work through it, endurance or not.

But that's alright, keep believing that its going to be an easy ride for him on his way to multiple brownlows

kruezer and yarran vs vickery and cotchin was an EPIC fail, and it was serious. I'm pretty sure that the other ones were made by a calton poster so i dont think they were joking

And in any case, three taggers is not that unsual for a team particularly given that Deledio spends half his time at HF anyway so a HBF/utility type can take him.

Ok I'll fill you in...Bay 13 is a contest on who can get the most laughs and who can piss of the other teams the best. These threads about Yarran>Rioli were trying to get a laugh and make the original poster get "one" up on the other Bay 13'ers.

He struggled during the time of the championships, yes.

But my point is he has since admitted he was injured and struggled just to get up and play - he couldn't let himself miss the matches.

Apart from that one time there hasn't been any evidence at all to suggest Cotchin will struggle with a tag. So I'm asking you to ignore that one time he didn't have an impact just like how you probably ignore Judd's last season with WC when he hobbled around injured as only a shadow of his former self.

Every other match Cotchin has played, he's been able to beat taggers. And now that he's building his fitness into that top echelon of players I'm not worried that this will be a problem.

It would depend on whether Richmond are good in the next few years. If so then he could win one, while if Richmond are crap then he might never win one.
