Lenny now can't win. Ablett is the winner, well deserved although I would've liked to see Lenny Hayes tie.

Ah well, I think he'd prefer the Norm Smith and I think I might get on him for that too.

Also wtf do the umps see in Kosi? Cause it definitely aint his good looks.

Gary needs to chill. Lame crowd reaction btw.

Plus i'd much prefer Gary shedding the tears on Saturday. :thumbsu:

Lenny Hayes what a bloody star, watched him closely this year and thought he was a big chance. Would have loved for him to win because of the way he goes about the game

Thought Lenny & Dal were a real chance early on. Unfortunately we had too many other good players taking votes off them in the end.

Hopefully they can console themselves by winning a premiership medal instead.

I'm sure they're more interested in taking the cup. ;)
Good on em' the top 5 have been stars, and we had 5 in the top 20 odd. Which is a refelction of our 5 AA's and contributor spread.

Wtf was that? Was he laughing or something? :S

Andy D was bellowing (almost screaming) "R. Nahas" for some reason, an when he did it again I assume all the Tiger guys gave him some stick. Completely threw him - I reckon he gave the teacher-to-bad-student stare to where the noise was coming from, and then lost the plot when he tried to remember which game he was reading. Nob.

There's plenty of love for the Gardi-Monster, but to give him 2 votes for 11 possessions, 2 goals and 8 hit-outs against the Eagles in Round 3 was a bit of a joke.

Monty - 31 possessions, 1 goal, 8 tackles - no votes.

Red Bull - 28 possessions, 11 marks, 4 goals - no votes.

Also interesting to see how Dane Swan's conduct quickly deteriorated when he was striking out with the votes. Not sure how doing the "nyah nyah" on the nose would be a dare you'd be taking up from your team-mates (even feral ones on your table like ****-Diddy). Complete douche.

When you look at how many Saints polled more than 10 it's incredible. Some teams didn't have any players with 10.
Kosi was a surprise, polling nearly as well as Riewoldt. With Brown also doing well maybe they have decided to give a bit more focus away from the midfield. Maybe it was Kosi that ultimately stopped Dal and Lenny getting more.
Excellent result for Armitage getting 3 in his first game for the season.

While this is a fine old traditional award and all that, I have wondered if the umpires are in fact the best people to decide. Their role in the game means that they must be concentrating on other things than who is playing the best.
