Initially it was believed to be a browser exploit but now we think it's coming in via Google ad code. That has to be dealt with at Google's end. It seems to start and stop so they may be finding them and removing them, but they keep getting back in.its not really a pop up, its a redirect. I suspect Chief needs to have a look at his code
This stuff has ramped up further. It is only occurring on bigfooty for me.Seems to be malware on Android.
Browser Hijack Spam - Advice for avoiding it is in the OP
EDIT: This is happening on the CHROME MOBILE BROWSER and Chrome-based browsers mainly. It is a kind of exploit of your browser. 1. Delete your Chrome browser cookies and don't visit BigFooty on the Chrome browser or you will just get the cookies again. 2. While it is being fixed, please try...www.bigfooty.com
If you can get screen grab and the URL of the ad, please post it in that thread.
Yeah the post that was linked above is full of people with the same story, got considerably worse this morning. This stuff has ramped up further. It is only occurring on bigfooty for me.

Basically makes the phone app unusable.Yeah the post that was linked above is full of people with the same story, got considerably worse this morning.
My workaround on the phone is to use desktop mode, it hasn't appeared again yet but may just be a coincidence.
It doesn't seem to be happening to everyone - I haven't seen it once. Send URLs to support@bigfooty.com so we can forward them to Google.support@bigfooty.comThe site's unusable now on mobile.
It happens mainly on Chrome it seems. Only happens to me on Chrome. It's not chrome problem, I'm fine on chrome mobile.
Clear cache ect
Same here.I've had it 8 times this morning (android).
Yes: See the OP.Clearing cache does not work.
It's a re-direct that appears only on mobile. All other sites behave normally.
Sorry Chief, you've got something to deal with that seems to only affect BigFooty.
Per OP - try a different browser while this issue is hunted down at Google. When it occurred: while visiting bigfooty via Chrome on my Pixel 6.
More specifically: when my finger touched the ad rather than anywhere else that would allow me to scroll down the page
Only way out of the loop that I could find was to close the browser and reopen from a new tab.
Was then fine to scroll through bigfooty pages as long as I didn't accidentally touch an ad.
