Browser Hijack Spam - Advice for avoiding it is in the OP

I'm still clear 3 days later. I didn't do anything to fix it, it just stopped.

It doesn't seem to be 100% predictable.

Best fix for now:

Switch your browser away from Chrome or the Samsung default browser.

That's odd. Did you try the browser setting suggested?

I've changed to Brave. 100% clear ever since. Been about a week now.

That's the same one I've been getting, though I have also seen a Google and an Optus variant. Very annoying.

Only occurs when private Samsung browser.

It's fine when logged in + not anom mode.

It seems that the source of the scam ads has been found.

Sorry to bring up the old post but its an issue recently happening to me on my site and was wondering what caused it? I too was thinking the ads as it seemed to happen when the ads refreshed.

Our ad agent tracked it down to a demand side entity and got it shut down through Google.
