Michael Gardiner hasn't played senior footy for a few years. What Lane is saying is that, coz he hasn't played for so long, Gardiner is basically a 'new' recruit for St Kilda.
Oh i know and I do realise what he was aiming for.. but calling for Gariner to be recruit of the year i think was a little over zealous.

Can someone explain to Brooth that the cartoon character with the extendable arms and legs is named "Inspector Gadget", not "Mr Gadget"?
He made the blue a couple of weeks ago in Ess v NM or Ess v Geel, and again last night while calling Ess v Dogs.

I thought the commentary in lasts night's game was so one sided it wasn't funny. Worse still was the camera work. Does anyone else get anoyed when the play has restarted yet the cameras are either showing the coaching box or they are showing a worthless replay of something?? Last night Welsh was running in toward goal and just before he kicked the ball the camera tuned onto some bloke in the crowd and I'm pretty sure you didn't even see the goal go through.
