According to the Carlton FC website Chris Bryan has been dropped for this weekends clash with the Pies. I'm disapointed about this and belive he is a better player then French. He can take the marks around the ground like big ruckmen should. On a more positive note Bower will make his debut. This is great news and I can't wait to see him play. Do you think he could make a big impact on the game or do you think Pagan has just given him a go because its the end of the season? Hopefully Pagan will give him lots of game time and not sit him on the bench the whole game like Smith last week.

I dont know about a big impact, seems like hes been playing good footy for the bullants and its exciting to see him get a go. I also hope he will get some good game time as well as Smith should. Lets face it as Carlton supporters theres not much for us to be interested in except the development of our younger kids.

Bryan a bit stiff, he hasnt set the world on fire however in the games hes played. He might be a chance to be delisted now with Kouta playing on and him being dropped. I dont think Bryan is a viable ruck option although he does have ability around the ground. I personally would like to see him play on next season. He may still play if Stevo is injured.

Good to see Bower in, agree that I'd like to see Bryan still in. Sporn being given probably has to be his last chance (unless he's contracted).

Is Sporn in or out? He probably deserves one more chance due to his great form in the Bullants, but this has happened before and he's failed dismally in the 1's. Maybe if he played just a servicable game he may be used as trade bait for a SA Team, ie Crows or Port?

Good to see another youngster getting a game, and well what can i say about sporn.......how many opportunities do u wana give a bloke..they guy is a dud!!! just a waste of space

just wanted to know if sporny played 2 blinders (30+possy 2 goals) games would he save himself. i know hes been playing like a prawn but theres something i see in him. ive been a fan for some parts of his career and thought that his last game in the ones was deplorable but still i just think he has something. might be completely wrong but. hope not. would u keep him if he turned it on in the last 2 games.

No!!

Bryan will remain on the list, simply because there are worse players than him. He does give us a little bit of variety in the ruck department and that will probably be enough to see him retained on the list for one more year, but after that, who knows.

Great to see that Bryan is going to play his first game on Sunday. Hopefully Pagan and co. give him some serious game time, and don't make him sit on the bench for the majority of the match.

You said Bryan, must be a typographical error, yes, I agree, I'm looking forward to see how Bower goes in the 1's,he's impressed me with his games in the Bullants, with his attacking play out of defence, just the type we need in our backline.

I am disappointed to see Bryan out - he is not the best ruckman - but I really like his physicality in the middle - If our boys don't take the tap he always lays tackles, something a lot of ruckmen are too slow or lazy to do.

This opens the question though - If Deluca, Bryan and McSpastic are all emergencies - then who will rotate through the ruck on Sunday - assuming Stevo plays?

Pagan alluded last week that O'hAilpin will perhaps end up being a ruckman due to his speed and ability to break the lines around the ground. Would make sense, given that Bower will likely be playing third-tall.

Wouldn't be the worst idea to make Josh Fraser accountable for once.

aporns last chance... he has to show more than 2 goals and 30 possies... needs to show skill, courage, wit and then he gets his right to play on with the blues. To me he is very lappin like but just doesnt show it in the ones... but if he can show some lappin skills he just might get another shot next year.

I suppose we have to reward Sporn.... although I'm not very excited about it. He should be delisted regardless of what he does in the Bullants finals/this week, players have to be delisted and he is on the top of many of our lists.

Bryan is in some strife now, I like the way he plays. Personally, I prefer him then French. Last week French hit every tap it he got to a Richmond player, then Bryan would come on and we'd get a bit of the ball.

Everytime Bryan was on the bench last week, we'd struggle. When he came on, we got the ball again and that goal he kicked last week was pretty good I thought.

I hope Stevens is a late withdrawel and Bryan comes back in, a tall player will with McLaren, Deluca and Bryan the emergencies. Be interested to see who's playing today for the Bullants.

Looking forward to seeing Bower play, I just hope Pagan gives him and Smith plenty of game time. We as fans want to see it.

Sporn shows more courage than most on the Carlton list. You only have to watch a few games at the Ants this year to see him continually put his head where he probably shouldn't and duly get it knocked off. Extremely courageous player. As for having the right to play for the Blues, if only the Blues played with the same "skill, courage, wit) of which you speak.

And until he gets a reasonable run in the seniors and not the usual 45mins worth of 5-10 min bursts that he gets, he's never gonna show much. They are finally giving Bannister a run and look at him go. Ditto Wiggins.
