Depending where we are during the end of the season and trade week, and how he is mentally and physically. 1 year deal paid mainly by Adelaide for a 4th rounder whereby we challenge him to end his career on a high instead of a whimper it currently is at might be able to extract the final best of him.

Considering we may be farewelling Betts, Simmo, Murphy and Kreuze at the end of the year probably won't happen as we'll have fully cleaned up that eras past and might not be worth a re-visit.

Too much, too little, too late to try again with Gibbs. He was a favourite of mine but it’s all over now.

Firstly, that’s rubbish about him getting bulk of money up front and he was going back to Adelaide for personal reasons, not necessarily his.
He has to live with his choices but to say we are ‘past’ players in the 30’s or don’t need experience in our line up is rubbish as well. Just look at Brissy!
I would have him back in a heart beat as I know he is blue through and through.

The management has destroyed their culture and their players. Gibbs could be good still but obviously isn't happy. I doubt he'd leave though. He can take his pay playing SANFL for the next couple of years and not have to uproot his family.

Feel for him, did the right thing by us in his last year after the unsuccessful trade thing. Feel he is not coping with the crap going on at the Crows and may be a victim of the team moral atm. However, that being said, I think we have moved past Gibbs and are building a new era based on players like Cripps, DoC, Weiters and co.
