He's tried a few things and they haven't come off, but I believe he is definitely a long term midfield prospect. He has great evasive skills and can clear the ball from packs.

He played well in the 2's last week. Excellent disposal, though the intensity around the packs is not there in that league. I hope he gets a run this season.

The guy has only played 22 games of football at the elite level, some guys don't fully develop until they have played well over 50 games.

I also think that a lot of people forget that he is still 22. The media are fickle and a lot of us use the information that they provide to us to develop our own opinions about how certain players going.

Sorry to revive this thread. But i'm glad Buchanan has proved me wrong. I'll admit i wasnt impressed with his performances earlier in the year but he has really come on strong over the last few weeks and has cemented himself in the starting squad. Well done.
