Well F*** me. What a hectic afternoon/night. Get home, discover there's a fire at Hogan's Lane, Muskvale, the same street one of my closest friends lives on. Then I get word that its threatening Korweinguboora, etc. More close friends in danger. Then it heads towards around the other way, towards Musk, effectively circling the South/East of Daylesford if things were to escalate.

Start packing stuff up, WTF am I supposed to take?? Family bails to Guildford, where we stayed for about an hour, when we meet a CFA volunteer, who claims that Daylesford will be safe. So we go back to Daylesford and I hang at a mates for a while, when I get a call from my mother saying that they went up to my house to get more stuff, saying they could see flames etc. basically telling me my house is screwed. So then we bail to Ballarat to stay the night.

Over the course of the night, I keep getting news saying that its not as bad as it was, and that houses will be safe. Huge relief, still can't sleep a second. Then my mum expects me to go to school! Good luck with that.

Yeah I didn't sleep a second either, and I have work in 4 hours :(

I appreciate the thoughts, the last few days have been tough for me :p

But seriously, anyone affected is most likely tuned to ABC radio listening to fire updates than watching a Four Corners Taliban documentary on ABC TV.
