The fact that Dean Buszan was not picked up by anybody in today's draft helps to justify (in my mind) the decision that was made by the Eagles and very lamented by some on these boards. Looks like no one else was prepared to take him either.

Very few specialist FFs in the AFL now. It's a mobile game that rewards the athletes and the utilities who can adapt.

Sad really, I liked footy the way it was with big blokes, little blokes, set positions and a traditional long kick and mark contest.

But there it is. We must move with the times and run the ball forward, keeping possession and converting.

I never saw him play BUT to make it as a FF today you need to be exceptional, clearly Buszan wasn't.

Phaty, don't do that. We've got to know. Who is it? Who is it? Now that Scotty's retired........ Lloyd can play anywhere (almost). Rocca? Lynch? Troy Wilson? Tell us. Tell us. Please.

This might be a good thing - we can put him straight back on our rookie list. Any player who is out with a long term injury we can stick him onto our seniors straight away!

Yep sorry i meant his ankle. I think there are better players, hell 2 WA AA players werent picked up in the draft...there a better options than an injury prone couldda wouldda shouldda...
