I know Butcher has gotten to the point of being a joke, but he is my pick for replacement.

When we beat Hawthorn late last year we had Ryder in the ruck, with Schulz, Westhoff and Butcher up forward.

While in the SANFL that same week we had Lobbe in the ruck, Redden, Shaw and Frampton up forward, Doogie down back, with Harvey "rested" due to heaps of tall options.

Now if Butcher is called up, the Maggies will have Jon Ross in the ruck, with Reynolds and Stewart up forward.

That must be close to the best game Butch has played. He's had games where he's kicked more goals but he stayed involved in this game for all four quarters. Provided a target and forward line leadership. Even when the game had slipped away he gave 100% in the ruck.

happy for butch to sit out for a week. we don't need Westhoff back there as there's enough talls as it is. Hombsch hopefully will play agressive second tall while Trengove gets the taller Daniher. Dougal earned his spot and played relatively ok. let Butch dominate for 1 more week, continuity is something he's never had.
