Heard on ABC radio that Butler is out for the next four weeks due to a leg injury. Big blow to our chances of beating Geelong - very important player. Is a good player, but was ever a guy so injury prone? Can't seem to string many games together.

Re: Butler Out?

that would be gutting.
why can't this guy stay on the paddock?!
he's great every time he's out there.

Re: Butler Out?

Has anyone actually seen both Waters and Butler in the same room together? Hmmm ... I wonder why my Dad always disappeared whenever Father Christmas dropped by. :D

Re: Butler Out?

Its like someone said in the other thread, he never seems to get injured during the game. Its almost like he's not injured at all and is missing games for another strange reason. Maybe he's an international spy and has an assignment to go on.

OUT: Lynch (Susp), Butler (Waters)

FFS. It is true though that he never seems to be injured during games. Unless he's just a tough bastard and doesn't even realise he's hurt until he comes off and the medical staff tell him he has to miss a month.

Re: Butler Out?

There isn't a bloke in Footy that I feel more sorry for than Butler.

He averages something like 10 games per season, he simply can not take a trick.

His form this year though has proven why we've still got him on our list

Re: Butler Out?

Quad strain. This is not good. Hurn will get a hard foward tag now, and with waters lack of kicking skills this is going to hurt.

Re: Butler Out?

Our luck with injuries may be starting to turn, I think we almost had a fully fit list last week

Anyway still No excuses against Geelong. Lynch and Butler is a loss, but I'm sure Geelong will have Bigger Outs than us

If we are good enough we will still do it

Re: Butler Out?

If this is true it sucks, a lot.

Will Waters be right with having just played 80 min of a Sunday match? If not, we could see B Wilson get a run instead (unless he also played on Sunday...)

correct.

even if we were replacing butler with a fully fit waters, we'd still be losing out. replacing him with an underdone waters may well cost us a chance of winning :thumbsd:

Re: Butler Out?

So composed down back, was great last week and always is when he manages to play. He just goes about his own business and is a champion, Waters sounds as if he has ironed out his kicking worries during his stint on the sidelines, expect him to be a beautiful kick when he come back. If he's not atleast he is as tough as nails anyway :)

That is quite plausible.

FFS, really devastated about this, he's been so good this season.

Oh for ****sake, this is bull$hit. I just knew "someone" was going to be out for Waters this week and it just so happens to be Butler?? He was completely fine on the weekend.

Load of waffle if you ask me, the whole butler/waters hoodoo is starting to piss me off.

Re: Butler Out?

Waters or Stevenson or Jordan Jones IN

Waters wont play 5 day break, and would be only a sub.

Jacob Brennan or Lewis Stevenson, Jacob will probaly debut.

Lewis coming of 5 day break, probaly discounts him as well.

I think Strijk may come in as well.
