Now, im trying hard not to bag him so here goes:

Embley tried hard today but some deficiencies ive noticed in his game are:

In attack:

He usually plays on for no reason
He's an unreliable kick

In defence:

Unreliable kick again (referring to out of bounds on full in last quarter)

Once again, im not saying he was the worst player out there today but maybe its time he went to the WAFL and we brought someone like Sierra or even Munro in for a run

Woosha has stated that no players position is safe and if Glass can be dropped then Embley should be no different

Agreed
I gave him votes, then rethought that and though What am i doing. He wasn't the worst, he took some good marks, but just can't cut it at AFL just yet.

And May I call for Wooden to be traded? He does many good things, but he does many bad things. I think a change of teams would suit both West Coast and Wooden! And PLEASE oh PLEASE DO NOT give him the kick out duties!

Um, what about Haynes, Banfield or Williams. At least Embley got the ball and presented (17 possesions). Woosah just needs to drive the message home that you have to take your time a bit, but not too much time (ie his kick on goal, straight in front). I'd play him, as long as there are people doing worse than him, which there are.

He was'nt the only one, alot of them were off there games.

Also - this has really got me pi$$ed off. That descision where that richmond bloke fair dinkum stuck both farken hands into jako back used him as a ladder and took a mark. The ump was right there. WHAT THE ???

If you were gonna write an AFL'S IDIOTS GUIDE FOR UMPIRES, that example would be on the front farken cover !!!

Well i agree that embly should be dropped mainly due to a few weeks bad performances. Haynes has been back for 2, he had a great game last week imo, where as embly has had about 3-4 bad games in a row. Give him a few WAFL games, i really think he needs them. Maybe Haynes needs to go back down too, we have that many half forwards, but with none in any sort of form:(

I was just about to say that Embley has been ordinary for a couple of weeks now.

Haynes was good last week, quiet today

Williams copped a knock in the first quarter and never really had an impact after that

Banfield didnt really do much and might be visiting the WAFL again soon

So thats why Embley was the one i mentioned

I have yet to see any half forward Eagles player do the hard defensive work across the 50 metre line in an away game when we're under the pump.

I thought Embley tried hard today and did some good things. Haynes did nothing. I'd drop him and Tuckey before Embley.

How about dropping Jackovich, or at least bring in Glass and give Jacko more bench time.
Jacko was destroyed by Bowden in the first half, and he must of turned it over at least 5 times throughout the game. He never gives off a handball when he should, but then is always demanding it.
He then takes an eternity to kick the ball, by which time the opposistion has flooded back.
I'd even prefer giving Embley a run at CHB.

DREXEL!!!!! How could you say all this! Jako did extremely well against Brad Ottens and I believe that it was he who kept ottens quite and kept US in the game! He isnt a qucik player..we all know that. But if you could have him on field you would. You wouldnt drop him unless he was playing horribley which he's not. Quite the opposite infact! You wouldnt even bench him unless it was for disciplanary reasons which wouldnt happen!

Yup, I agree......Embers needs a little more time to adjust to the pace of the game again. He seems so unsure when he does get the ball and makes some silly mistakes.....

A few weeks for the black ducks wont hurt him......

Yep this week was the straw that broke the camel's back as far as Embley is concerned, a trip down to the WAFL might do him some good.

i think tharer were worse players than embly today. tucky did less than nothing and banfield is horribly out of touch.

the last time that this happened (you guessed it, our last away match) the team had 5 changes.

welcome back gardnier:)

What are you on Drexel?? Silly, silly comments.

Im not with the rest of you concerning Embly. At least he presented himself and he found the ball. He had 17 disposals and he also grabbed 7 marks. Not particularly bad considering the amount of players who had bad games.....

Embly's disposal isnt the best and he always seems in a hurry which sometimes gets him into trouble but i thought he played ok. Keep him on for the Hawks game, Haynes, Banners, Tuckey will and should be dropped before Embers.

"What are you on Drexel?? Silly, silly comments."

I'm only watching the game. He was on Bowden in the second quater when Bowden got into the game. Surely that's no match-up for Jacko.
As for disposal, he struggles to spot up any player over twenty meters. I just don't understand why he doesn't giver the handball off more often. This was mentioned by 6PR commentators aswell.
He's a solid CHB, but nowhere near the dominant player he once was 5 years ago.
We never lost anything when Embley went CHB against Port. In fact we didn't lose anything in 96 either.

Embley's not the worst there, that's for sure. I would like to see Banfield banished from the team and never ever return. Along with him Williams or Haynes to make way for Sierrakowski. If Prior is fit lets throw him in the mix down back to get some more run from half back. Jakovich should be punished for long pointless kicks. He should short kick to set up a switch from defence or not kick at all. Judd up at half forward flank - I want to see that burst of speed when he crosses our forward 50 and kicks a goal, not stuck down back. Cox should rotate through the forward line to force match up problems. And Tuckey, not much to say about him, besides he's useless.

Tuckey didnt have a great game but in his defence, he spent most of the game on the bench or in the ruck

Used up forward he could be handy, that said, he'll probably get dropped this week along with Banfield and one of the half forwards

I thought Embley presented himself well but he's lost confidence in his kicking. Haynes had very little game time or opportunity. Same with Tuckey because after the first quarter their midfield caned us. We were not running through the lines and had few decent balls provided for forwards and half forwards. Don't expect Haynes to take speccy marks with high balls. He is a leading half forward a la Mitch White.

IMO the Banfield/Tuckey for Green/Carrol proved a mistake. Banfield was again well beaten when pushed into defence and coaches are telling whoever he plays on to get into our 50. Green is a far better option.

I would be bringing back Green and looking at using Hunter as an attacking option along with bringing Merenda back.

Judd was murdered by Fiora. Brauny was inaccurate again.

Jako was very good but that speccy mark by hands on his shoulders then knee in the head should be illegal.

Finally, although we were the poorer side on the day it was close until the umpire gave that soft free against Milli and then an appalling 50m penalty. Those decisions closed the door on us. As for Campbells free that resulted in a goal after Jako laid a perfect tackle........I'm amazed.

It kills me to say this, but I think Haynes and Tuckey would have to drop out of the side before Embley goes. I'd put in Sierakowski and Hunter to replace those 2.
