Hi all,

As some of you may know, I’ve been a doing a fair bit of blogging on the front page. I’ve been keen to do some interviews with interesting personalities in the footy world. So far I’ve managed to get Emma Quayle and Eugene Arocca and those interviews were well received.

But obviously I don’t know all clubs in detail and that’s why I’m posting here.

Who would you like to see interviewed? Who at your mob do you feel has a story to tell that would interest and inform not just readers from your side, but neutrals too?

Obviously everyone would to hear from big names like Lance Franklin or Kurt Tippet or Joel Selwood but the reality is the clubs usually strictly control their media exposure.

What I’m interested in that something special other people might not know about – a young bloke you feel is set to have a breakout season, perhaps a recruiter with a knack for gems late, or even an administrator you feel deserved recognition.

So let’s have some suggestion but please know that although I’ll try my best, I can’t guarantee I’ll be able to get any or all of these.

Thanks in advance.

Jamie

Shaun McKernan, IMO will have a break out year in 2010 and will be every bit as good as Kurt Tippett :thumbsu:

I know Tippett is an obvious choice however he has been very quiet since he resigned with Adelaide

The enigma that is Matt Rendell.

+1

Hentschel would be interesting to talk about his recovery from injury or Ricky Henderson (rookie) who is a basketball convert who we recruited from no where.

One with Dangerfield would be awesome!:thumbsu: Even someone like a Chris Knights on his new found role in the Crows team would be good. By the way, the blogs are a great read.:thumbsu:

James Moss would be an interesting one. Had the world at his feet... state junior cricketer drafted by the Crows... and now injury seems to have snatched it away from him.

+1 for Shaun McKernan. Would be interesting to see how he handled being the Brother Of and also to hear his perspective of the highs and lows of Corey's career, and how it affected/influenced him as an 8-13 year old.

McKernan is a good call though I wonder how willing the club would be to release him.

I'll have a shot at him and Viney.

From an administrators point of view, those that would make a good interview would be:

John Reid who retires at the end of the year and his reflections and untold stories on his 10 years as Football Manager of the Crows.

Matt Rendell - after the draft - and his viewpoint on all things football. He's a cat who dances to a different beat. :thumbsu:

From a players point of view - the 2 up and coming superstars for the Crows (along with Tippet)

Dangerfield and his aspirations - in what position he wants to play his footy, does he see himself as a one club player, does he have long-term aspirations to captain the Crows etc etc

McKernan
- ruck, forward, back. His preferences, his goals. What he sees as his strengths, areas for inprovement etc etc etc

From a historical point of view, Trevor Jaques (spelling) would be a good case study to investigate.

Matty Rendell is the man you want to talk to. Our head recruiter, already involved in the recruitment of several big names (Dangerfield, Otten, Walker he had a part in) and a man who is not afraid to call things as he sees it. Sees no reason to pull his punches or say things politically correct. Hell, he's said some things about other clubs to me in emails that I don't want to repeat because I don't want to get the Crows into trouble :o But he's absolutely the most interesting interview you'll get.

Phil Davis is another worth interviewing. He was a top 10 pick last year (the only one not to have a debut match) so people will be interested to hear about him, who is he, what's his background, etc. He's also a really intelligent (got over 99 in his TER) and well-spoken man.

Obviously, however, your key interview has to be with cmndstab, world-famous internet poster :thumbsu: I assume these things are paid, right? :D

Plus, I'd also love to hear from Todd Viney
