Cam Bruce will win our 2008 B & F

By virtue of the fact that he's played all 21 games and been in our best in probably all but 3 or 4.

Jones was fast out of the blocks in the first 7 rounds and would have lead it by then it, but has since gone backwards and even got dropped in rd 18. Top 5 if he's lucky

McLean would have had the Bluey stiched up by round 14, with 3 or 4 sublime MCG games, but we all know he can't win it because of injury. Bloody shame he went down, as he is the only MFC player that the average fan perceives as any good.

Green will be Bruce's major challenger but he missed 2 games and probably floats in and out of the game more than Bruce. However Green's best is better than Bruce.

Wheatley will be a huge chance for a top 3 finish as his high possession game will not go un-noticed. Missed 3 or 4 games which may work against him, and if he's dropped this week, then that would suggest the MFC brains-trust don't rate him as highly as the media.

Miller can hope for a top 5 birth at best. He started the season slowly and apart from 2 or 3 inspirational games, he hasn't really been all that brilliant on reflection. A great team man so that will count for him but a B & F seems out of his reach.

I expect Garland and Buckley to finish top 10 which would be outstanding for those 2 guys considering they were way off best 22 matarial at the start of the year.

Cam Bruce is a chance but id give it too Green been awesome in this year..some people are saying we should trade these 2 but i disagree we need to keep these guys they are gun players and we wouldnt get a high enough draft pick for them

Green will win it. Bruce shouldn't be a snowballs chance in hell, he's had a poor season with only a few strong games.

Wheatley won't be in the mix, might have a high possession game but doesn't do anything with the ball. the only way he'll get close is if it's voted on by tony shaw and i like to think that the fellows running our club have more sence than he does.

Mclean will still be up there despite his season being cut short yet again. while Morton, Jones, Dunn, Buckley, Warnock and Junior all polling well.

PJ should be able to get in the top 5

Paul Wheatley deserves the B & F. Has been the most consistent by far. As for suggestibg Cam Bruce....well he has gone backwads. He racks up meaningless possessions, mostly in junk time...and I am sick of watching him turnover the ball to opponents. And can someone explain to me ,what has happenned to his kicking? I remember him being a half decent hick a few years back . Something has gone seriously amiss with his kicking action.

I've read a few of your posts now and you have NFI. Wheatley is unaccountable, soft and often wastes the ball.

Green should win it, he has been our best player by far.

Who said Bell and Bartram wil be stars? At least they actually man up on their opponent, Wheatley doesn't go near his and doesn't even hurt the opposition with his kicking.

wheatley has been poor this season, he racks up stats but that's it. he's ranked 4th for inside 50's per game but 18th for goal assists and he has a grand total for 2 goals 8 for the season. he's hardly helping us kick a score

the defensive side of his game isn't that great either, 12 for tackes and 17th for 1 percenters and never plays on a dangerous forward.

he leads rebound 50's and is second for uncontested possesions.

if that is one of our best and fairest i might as well not buy a membership again because melbourne won't be going anywhere fast

Someone had to be nominated! Wheatley has been pretty good and has been one of our better players in many games this season, most people realise that, the thing is he - like Bruce - gets a lot of handball receives in space and should damage the opposition, however he doesn't, if you think he uses the ball well then your not watching very closely. So the digs at him have more been to say "he's ok but not as good as he should be" especially when Tony Shaw keeps saying he will win our B&F.

I also don't think Bartram and Bell will be stars, but I think their defensive abilities are underrated, and when Bartram is in his 3rd year and coming off no football last year I think he is copping a lot of crap especially because he has played some ripping games this year, and everyone was singing Bell's praises last year but now he is struggling with injury a lot of people have turned on him.

When has Wheatley ever kicked the ball out well? A 65m bomb that goes to the opposition is still a turnover

With our record in kicking out I'd say Wheatley does do well, if you think about it he's the only one who can get it out of the defensive 50 without a turnover of some sort happening.
