Which is all quite wonderful - but you have to be an effective footballer first and foremost. This year he wasn't. He must improve next year.

Looked very much yesterday's man this year. I don't think he wears the jumper with pride any more than anyone else. Leadership skills diminished if they were ever there in the first place (standing and pointing doesn't count).

You want leadership skills look no further than Paul Chapman and Jarad Rooke. Watch the way they go about their football and then compare to the stand and point king.

Slow, but will be a Cat for life.

When I first read that, I thought you were talking about me :D

But I just stand in the crowd, drink beer and don't get paid 250K per year to play football that can win a premiership - is he really up to it?

well, when the old skooler types like west and harvey have retired im not sure there will be anyone left for him to tag which is the general consensus on what his real strength is.

not done but doesnt belong in the midfield when quick thinking, clean skills, etc are needed.

If he doesn't belong in the midfield where do you put him? Couldn't consider him in defence because any decent forward would run laps around him, and you couldn't put him forward because he'd be far too slow on the lead. Maybe on a flank or in the pocket. Maybe.

Replace him with Tenace or Byrnes. That alone would do wonders for the pace of the team.
