Have found myself listening to a bit of Billy Bragg. Probably because I’m pissed.

My first introduction to Billy was at the Port Fairy Folk Festival in 2023 - saw him twice, he was great. Loved his music and the sort of guy you'd like to have at a dinner party.

Ok, so I was there just after Xmas. The crowd and queue was vast.
Entry is free BUT you still have to reserve your entry with a “ticket” purchased online. Easy? Not.
Tickets are only released for the two coming days currently. Despite trying many times, no luck.
I think congestion is made worse as the sides and garden at the rear of ND are boarded off. So you can’t easily do a lap and admire it. Oh well. Just a reason to go back.View attachment 2212854

Hi guys, just had a look at the fixture again and cant help to get angry about our Round 9 fixture in Perth against Fremantle on a Thursday, after playing Geelong on a night game only 5 days earlier.

Don't think many other teams play off a 5 day break (maybe 3-4) this year, but none have to travel, let along to Perth.

Will pretty much be an impossible game for us to win. Very annoying, especially if the Geelong game ends up being a grind (which is likely).
