Jeez, this is much more involved than I realised, clearly.
On the stories so far, it seems that there is often a trigger for the animal to get depressed. The story about the horse, the trigger was the daughter. Something happens, something changes in their life, to trigger this.
So, if perhaps I can pin down what's changed in his life or surrounds, then I might be able to solve it.
On the plus side, he did eat his faeces this morning, so that's a positive.
Only thing I can think of is that Duritz has been lying on top of Oscar late at night after a hard day on the punt.![]()

Perhaps, but it's not the first time he's met Bessie. They've played together many times and he's never got depressed before.
