After last years impressive match against the Crows at Telstra Dome showed me that when Richmond find space for marking and analyze the game, so rather than kicking to a crowded goalsquare kicking to an uncontested man a little further out. IMHO we can do it again.

Tough though Nick.

Two 6 day breaks and returning to football park again. We'll be pretty spent by 3QT. That said Adelaide are coming from Brisbane on a six day break.

Neil Craig wont be taking it lightly, that's for sure.

Let's hope for competitive game, a win would be awesome, but unlikely. :o

id like to think we can mate but we dont have the team we had last year....... they were alot more composed last year and the same or simular plan as last year wouldnt work. we are also not playin at the dome so it adds a little more of a challenge. carn tigers!

There's no way Craig would want (read: allow) a debacle like last season's corresponding fixture. He was a bit of a laughing stock for a while there.

Wallace must formulate a game plan, this year he has been trying to play open football and they have been punished when the ball is turned over. Tigers dont use the flood or try to slow the tempo down or tag players like they did over the last few season.

Nup! No chance I'm afraid for all the reasons stated above. Anyone else sick of the patronising comments by the way? "At least they had a crack"! Stuff like that. They should always "have a crack" thats what pro footballers are paid for. Lack of experience and ability should not allow laziness.

stuff "having a crack." leave that to my son's auskick team. These are PRO AFL FOOTBALLERS. some payed 3 TIMES MORE than the hon. Prime Minister. They need to put in 2000%. They need to put everything they are worth on the line for their career, because they're payed shitloads more than policeman and firefighters, the people who DO put their life on the line, to save another one.

Agreed. Not after we embarrassed them last year in the way we did. The Crows will be full of vengeance. It could get extremely ugly.

You would hope thats how it would pan out, but human nature can be fickle. As much as the coaching staff pump this up as a danger game, the players would have seen the results and mentally relax on Friday night. The thinking would go Port beat Richmond we beat Port ergo we will win easy

Yes Adelaide should win but Im not putting this down as an easy win

No doubt in my mind at all that the Tigers not only can but will win. 0-7 is bad enough and the boys will be going over with the thought they can win. Crows have been patchy this year and have scored less than us overall this year. That being the case I expect the game to be a low scoring affair and given that the Tigers are more than capable of getting enough goals on the board to get the win. Both teams average about 11 goals a game. Even when we got belted by the Cats we still managed 9 odd goals IIRC. There is nothing the Crows have got that really scares me like it has with the other teams. Hudson is not a dominating ruckman, their onballers seems to be a little off their games forward wise they have no monsters that we will struggle tm match up on. Defensively they have Rutten and apart from that they play similar to us somewhat unaccountable and try and create run from the back. Put enough pressure on them and get quick entry into the F50 and we have the players to score goals. Schulz can kick 2-3, Hughes, Richo they can all do it. They will try and slow the game down and when we played the Swans we matched them in that area and there is no reason we can't do it again.

Tigers to cause the upset of the season and get over the Crows by 12 points.

Terry Wallace has more chance of shi**ing in the Queens handbag than Richmond do of beating Adelaide this week. The club is totally bereft of leadership apart from a couple of players and while they may spring an upset or 2 this year it won't be in Adelaide. Whatever happened over there last year has nothing to do with this week. Another spanking coming up. Get used to it.

Yes we certainly can win it. IF we formulate some cunning plan to change the style and tempo of the game to take the initiative away from Adelaide, i.e. tempo flood football or something akin. What has been extremely pleasing to me is that so far this year Plough has played our guys against opposition wholly and soley on their merits. No flood, no 1.2 mill behind the ball etc. Sure we can do that but if we do we learn little and restrain our development. My tip is we will lose but play the Crows on merit. Whats more, provided its not a massacre and we contunie to persist and learn, I won't be too pissed off either. I would be more so if after all this pain, he chose to turn off the light at the end of the tunnel and revert to old ways for the sake of one win.

We've bitten the bullet now lets get on with it.
